Is the Badr Pact a symbol of a military industrial resilience pact of the Islamic world? Or is it a continuation of a package of pacts prepared ahead of a ground attack by the US-Israel-Gulf states to colonize Iran? We still remember the BOP Pact signed on January 22, 2026, ahead of the US-Israel attack on Iran on February 28, 2026.
GTI-The Indonesian government under the Prabowo administration has key policies: food and energy resilience, economic self-reliance, and implementing Article 33 through the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) and Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programs.
Foreign policy at the beginning of Prabowo's leadership, through his fiery speeches, promoted himself as a world peacemaker and warned of the dangers of colonization. Indonesia became a member of BRICS with a multipolar vision to maintain dependence from the globalist group that upholds a hegemonic-unipolar vision.
Three important agreements have been signed as manifestations of Indonesia's foreign policy. First, BOP (Board of Peace) on January 22, 2026. Second, ART (Agreement on Reciprocal Trade) on February 19, 2026. Third, on October 21, 2026, in Doha, Qatar, Indonesia also signed the Badr Pact (Badr Memorandum of Understanding/MoU Badr).
Previously, on August 7, 2026, the Mecca Pact (Mecca Joint Defence Agreement) was signed without Indonesia's participation.
Terrifying Notes
Indonesia co-signed the BOP with the intention of Gaza reconstruction on January 22, 2026. However, the result was that in February 2026, the US-Israel and Gulf states carried out military aggression against Iran, which had supported Palestine since 1979. Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Israeli territory and US military bases in the Gulf states.
In short, the BOP has nothing to do with Gaza reconstruction, let alone Palestinian independence. The BOP is directly related to the normalization of the ongoing Gaza genocide and serves as a precondition for the US-Israel military attack on Iran. None of the BOP members, including Indonesia, condemned Trump-Netanyahu as a violation of international law.
The result of the ART signed by Indonesia is not economically beneficial, but rather serves as a legal tool for the US to economically exploit and even threaten the security sovereignty of Indonesian citizens.
Similarly, after the Mecca Pact was signed, it was immediately used to support Saudi Arabia militarily against the Houthi-Yemen, who have proven to support Palestine. The Houthi-Yemen have proven to have carried out massive demonstrations every week in support of Palestine, conveying firm aspirations with the slogan "Death to America, death to Israel, death to the Jews-Israel." The Houthi-Yemen have also proven to help stop the Gaza genocide, disrupt Israel's economy, attack commercial ships heading to Israel, and launch direct attacks on Israeli territory.
The Mecca Pact was designed with an Islamic flavor to avoid the Western NATO flavor. It was created with the principle of Collective Defense: military aggression against one of the signatory states is categorized as a threat to all three, resembling the principle of NATO Article 5. The Mecca Pact was created at a time when NATO's missile stockpiles were dwindling.
What Will Happen?
Let us focus on the Badr Pact. As spread in the media, the intention of the Badr Pact being signed is for research, development, war exercises, and global supply chains that appear good and neutral—just as the BOP was signed for Gaza reconstruction.
Is it true that the Badr Memorandum of Understanding—a strategic cooperation agreement in the military and defense industry sector signed by Indonesia, Turkiye, Qatar, and Pakistan on October 21, 2026, in Doha, Qatar—will proceed as intended at signing?
The answer is no. Chronologically, the Badr Pact will experience the same fate as the BOP, ART, and Mecca Pact: it will become an extension of US-Israel interests.
What is the urgency for Indonesia, which is approximately 7,300–8,100 km away, to sign the Badr Pact? Is it true that Pakistan and Turkiye have military industries superior to those of the US, Israel, and Iran that will benefit Indonesia? Isn't Iran's military industry capable of producing defense equipment that can defeat NATO industrial products? Why not create a Badr Pact with Iran?
There are several reasons that the Badr Pact serves Israel's interests:
-There is a linear membership relationship; some of the countries that co-signed the Badr Pact are also members of the BOP and the Mecca Pact. Member states are vulnerable to being used as shields and exploited according to US-Israel interests.
-Turkiye is a NATO country. During the genocide of Gaza residents by the US-Israel, Turkiye was actively involved in contributing to sending oil from Azerbaijan via Turkiye to Israel.
-Erdogan-Turkiye and Jolani-Syria are involved in conditioning the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights. During the time of Assad and his father, the Israeli occupation of Syria's Golan Heights could always be thwarted.
-Pakistan is actively involved in conditioning the US-Israel to attack Iran with the shield of a peace agreement. Pakistan contributed to making Iran off guard so that it could be attacked by the US-Israel during negotiations.
-Qatar is actively involved as host and donor of the US-Israel military aggression against Iran to this day.
What Is the Badr Pact For?
It is true that the Badr Pact was signed for the benefit of military industry cooperation among its members. But we must remember, this pact was born ahead of the threat of a ground attack and the dropping of the mother of bombs by the US-Israel on Iranian soil. This pact was created when NATO-US-Israel interceptor and attack missiles were nearly exhausted.
The Badr Pact was signed by Indonesia (represented by Deputy Minister of Defense Yusuf Jauhari), Turkiye (represented by Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler and Head of the Defense Industry Secretariat Haluk Gorgun), Qatar (represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hasan Al Thani), and Pakistan (represented by Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif).
This pact was created ahead of the US-Israel ground attack on Iran, just as the BOP was created ahead of the US-Israel attack on Iran in the first round, February 28, 2026. Qatar, as a signatory of the Badr Pact, will be used as a site for US-Israel military missile attacks on Iran. Turkiye-Erdogan with its regular forces, plus Jolani-ISIS-Syria forces, have already been deployed in Yemen to carry out the task of eliminating the pro-Palestinian Houthi-Yemen-Iran resistance groups.
The Badr Pact and the Destruction of Indonesia's Identity
It is not excessive if some opinions say that the dream of research and development cooperation in the defense industry among Badr Pact members is a strategic mistake for Indonesia.
First, Turkiye as a NATO member that will be made the center of the defense industry will harm Indonesia's domestic industry and benefit the NATO-US-Israel industry as a weapons supplier that has been exhausted fighting Iran. The defense equipment products of the Badr Pact will fill the scarcity of NATO defense equipment in the Middle East, which will strategically be used by the US-Israel to attack Iran, which borders Turkiye.
Second, Qatar will become the cashier for funding the Badr Pact industry and NATO Middle East.
Third, Pakistan will become an extension of US-Israel diplomacy regardless of who is in power. Pakistan's diplomatic appearance will increasingly intensify visits to Iran to divide and make Iran off guard, until at an unexpected moment Trump-Netanyahu will attack Iran.
Fourth, with the BOP and the Badr Pact, the Indonesian Government under Prabowo will become increasingly estranged from its own constitution, which has a mandate to maintain peace, eliminate colonization, and support Palestine.
The BOP, Mecca Pact, and Badr Pact are a package of colonialism narratives in the Middle East that are militarily actively involved in eliminating pro-Palestinian resistance groups. In addition, Indonesia's defense industry in particular will be devastated because the defense equipment and war doctrine of World War II-era US-Israel and NATO have been proven to fail against Iran's domestic self-sufficient industry.
The next strategic mistake for Prabowo: the food and energy resilience programs, MBG, and KDMP will be destroyed simultaneously with the conflict with the Jokowi camp and the Nine Dragons, accompanied by pro-Palestinian civil popular uprisings worldwide against pro-colonial rulers and the Epstein File.
Wrapped in domestic issues and support for Palestine, the rulers of the signatory states of the Badr Pact, Mecca Pact, BOP—France, Germany, Italy, Azerbaijan, Albania, Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and others—will face their own people.
The rulers, including Indonesia, which is ensnared by the BOP, ART, and Badr Pact, will face their own people who are loyal to Palestine. Meanwhile, the Netanyahu-Trump camp needs chaos, division, and a great war to carry out the Greater Israel agenda.
The BOP, Mecca Pact, and Badr Pact are used by Netanyahu to carry out the Greater Israel mission: to pit Muslim countries against each other so they fight until exhausted and their territories are divided. When divided and weak, Israel will occupy Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
It is not impossible that Indonesia's Red and White flag, together with the colonial flags of the Star of David of Israel and the US, will sink in shame. Indonesia's identity will no longer contribute to eliminating colonization as stated in the Preamble of the Indonesian Constitution, but rather be actively involved in maintaining and expanding the colonial-liberal empire in the final phase of Greater Israel.
