INTERVIEW WITH PEDRO: THE US INVASION OF VENEUZELA IS A VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW

GTI-Global Thinkers Institute, October 19, 2025, interviewed with Pedro Monzón Barata about the critical situation of a US invasion of Venezuela, which would endanger the security of the entire Latin American region and the Caribbean.

The US interventionist doctrine in the name of the drug war is nothing more than collective punishment that violates international law.

The United Nations has officially stated in its reports that Venezuela is not among the countries recognized as major drug trafficking routes.

Even some Democratic congressmen in the US have described these attacks as illegal, criminal, and morally reprehensible, as they represent the use of lethal force against civilians without due process.

Pedro was a professor at the University of Havana and other institutions, specializing in Asian Studies (1972-1992). He was a member of multiple official delegations, including one led by Fidel Castro to the 13th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit (Malaysia).

He was ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia, Timor-Leste, and Brunei (2002-2007). Ambassador of Cuba to Australia. Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Nauru (2011-2014).
