GTI-Friday, 16/1, Global Thinkers Institute interviewed Dr. Fuad Izadi, a geopolitical observer and lecturer at the University of Tehran, regarding the color revolution in Iran. He believes the failure of the color revolution or regime change operation in Iran is a sequence inextricably linked to the Gaza genocide, the color revolution in Syria, and the kidnapping of Maduro in Venezuela.
Trump and Netanyahu's primary motive is control of Venezuelan, Syrian, and Iranian oil. The recent failed color revolution in Iran in 2026 is a repeat of 1954. Trump wants repeat it again. Therefore, the color revolution and the Gaza genocide are inextricably linked to oil and political-military control or global hegemony. The events in Libya in 2006 were also part of a similar color revolution. After 2006, Libya became impoverished.
Trump and Netanyahu use the same pattern with various entry points. The rationale for regime change in Iran is human rights and freedom. They want Iran to be impoverished and weak so they can control its oil.
Trump and Netanyahu's disarmament program against Hamas and Hezbollah also applies to Iran. They want Iran's missile range to be limited to 300 kilometers, preventing them from hitting Haifa and Tel Aviv.
Fuad concluded that Iran is helping Palestine with weapons, not just words, so the Palestinian people can defend themselves. Iran is also fighting for the interests of Iran and world civilization.
Iran has successfully established a domestic internet and must shut down the local internet during a cyberattack. If the local and international internet remain connected, the enemy can coordinate and collect data to kill Iranian citizens and police. This internet shutdown was then exploited by Western media as a means of silencing demonstrators who violate human rights and freedoms.
Meanwhile, images of arson and murder taken from Iranian television have been misrepresented by Western media.
Fuad earned his doctorate under the guidance of Professor Nicholas Cull, from the Louisiana State University School of Mass Communication. He received his master's degree in mass communication studies and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Houston.
He was nominated for the Best Paper award at the 2006 Association for Journalism and Mass Communication Education Annual Convention in San Francisco for "An Analysis of American Newspaper Editorial Discourse: The Case of Iran's Nuclear Program."
Fuad Izadi currently teaches American Studies in the Faculty of World Studies at the University of Tehran.
